The University Police Department is the official campus location for the receiving and storage of lost and found property. All found items are logged and stored at the University Police Department for 90 days. After that time period, the items are either given away to a charity or sold at auction.
If you have found an item, please bring it to the University Police (Welch Hall B-100) as soon as possible.
If you are looking for a lost item, you may call (310) 243-3639 or go in person to the University Police Station (Welch Hall B-100) at any time. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Valuable items are kept in a safe and may only be able to be retrieved during normal business hours.
Occasionally items are turned into the Library (Phone: (310) 243-3715), Loker Student Union (Phone: (310) 243-3559) or the University Bookstore (Phone: (310) 243-3829). Any items turned into these areas are then brought to the University Police for storage.
